Three people were killed and at least 20 others were injured when a hand grenade exploded at a gambling club in Pakistan's southern city of Karachi on Friday.
The grenade was tossed into the club by one of two unidentified people riding past the facility on a motorbike, according to Javed Baloch, a senior police official in Karachi.
The city is considered the main commercial hub of Pakistan, but has seen a drastic increase in political, ethnic and religious violence in recent months.
Last month, an explosion at a gaming club killed at least 15 people and injured 40 others.
Last week, a powerful roadside bomb attack left five dead and 10 injured along the main road in Karsaz district.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for that attack, which targeted a bus.
