Stephen Elop Nokia CEO revealed a fresh smartphone that uses software the firm plans to ditch, a move analysts said would probably condemn the device to obscurity.Elop unveiled the new all-screen N9 smartphone, which uses a platform called MeeGo.
This is Nokia's first and will be last to use MeeGo, can be operate by a single finger touch and comes in black, cyan and magenta colors in a polycarbonate stylish design.
The MeeGo platform is a newbie in the market against competitors like Google and Apple. its was born in February 2010 when Nokia and Intel unveiled a co-project for Nokia's Linux Maemo software platform with Intel's Moblin, which is also based on Linux open-source software.
Nokia N9 features a 3.9 inch curved glass AMOLED display and is available in 16GB and 64GB models.
